The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing season opener at Firebird Raceway commenced with scorching hot action for Round 1 and blew out Round 2 with breath taking chills for Sunday. The temperatures also displayed varying highs and lows as well. Either way, the fans filled the grand stands to maximum capacity and experienced the best show in racing.

As the 2012 season of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series opened in Arizona this weekend, the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports team arrived with a new look, a new Pro 2 driver, and new energy! Jerry Daugherty and the E3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 #23 showed a bit of that energy as he raced in the opening rounds of the series.

Patrick Clark has been waiting for the debut of his Pro 2 Rookie season for months! He is smart, talented, and most of all ready to compete with the best drivers in the industry. He might be a Rookie in this field, but his driving is making a statement that has taken notice.

As Aaron Daugherty hit the track for the season opening rounds in the Tuff Country EZ Ride Suspension Pro Lite #23, he was ready to get back into the Pro Lite mix. He arrived with a brand new truck and with an astounding 28 trucks in the Pro Lite field, it made for great racing and much turmoil!!!

Riverside, California (April 4, 2012) - Making his Stronghold Motorsports debut this past weekend at Phoenix, Arizona's Firebird Raceway, 19 year old off road racing phenom, RJ Anderson dominated the field on his way to taking his first career ProLite truck victory in Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series competition. Anderson's Stronghold Motorsports teammate, Matt Cook was also impressive as he consistently put himself in podium contention throughout the weekend.

The first race with a new truck is never an easy task, even with the considerable talents of Rob MacCachren behind the wheel. MacCachren has already racked up wins in the desert this season at Laughlin, San Felipe, and the Mint 400, but the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) short course season is just heating up. Speaking of heat, it was an issue in qualifying where temperatures at Firebird International Raceway in Phoenix were in the 90s, revealing a cooling issue with MacCachren’s brand new Pro2 Unlimited truck. This limited Rob Mac’s practice time on the several high speed sections, spectacular jumps, and unique dual split line of Firebird's track.

Anaheim Hills, CA (April 4, 2012) – Casey Currie was all fire inside for the Lucas Oil Off Road season opener at Firebird Raceway in Chandler, AZ this past weekend. After some tribulations on Saturday, Casey gained back his ground and took the podium for 3rd place on Sunday in the Pro Lite class.
