ROCKSTAR Energy Drink’s Rob MacCachren Adds Some New Tools To His Short Course Arsenal For 2012

ROCKSTAR Energy Drink’s Rob MacCachren finished second in series points in both SCORE International’s Trophy Truck class and Lucas Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Pro2 Unlimited in 2011. Anyone who has ever met Rob Mac knows that he doesn’t settle for second place though; his unyielding drive to be the best is how he has accumulated an astounding 192 career victories in the desert and short course. For 2012 MacCachren is pulling out all the stops, and after wins in Laughlin and San Felipe he is leading SCORE International points in the premier Trophy Truck class. MacCachren is also fresh off the Trick Truck win with teammate Steve Sourapas at last weekend’s Mint 400.

All of this success in the desert has not distracted MacCachren from short course racing though. Rob has an entirely new Pro2 Unlimited truck for 2012 built in-house by the talented Dave Farruggia and Jim Blackmore. The new truck is lower and lighter yet retains all of the advantages offered by Fox Racing Shox and BFGoodrich Tires. In the desert he has his sights set on the SCORE International season championship in the ROCKSTAR Energy Drink / MasterCraft Safety / BFGoodrich Jimco Trophy Truck and Rob’s hectic schedule also has him sharing driving duties with Steve Sourapas in the Best In The Desert racing series.
