LAKE FOREST, CA (May 23, 2012) - It's difficult to put into words how frustrating the 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing season has been for 8-time champion, Carl Renezeder, and his team. For a crew that has earned 97 wins in the past 13 seasons (63 of which have been in the last six years), it's been maddening to put in the same or greater effort with none of the results. Renezeder finished third in the Pro-2 on Saturday afternoon at Speedworld Raceway Park in Surprise, Arizona, but he was well outside the top five in the other three races, all for distinctly different reasons.

May 22nd, 2012 – Corona, California
Rounds 5 and 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series have come and gone like the sun rises and drops over the Arizona desert. The heated opposition of racing in a close contact short course was many competitors undoing. Some failure came from the extreme conditions pushing driver and equipment to the limit while the major factor remaining in the way of successful and clean racing is the overly aggressive contact resulting in torn up vehicles.
During the last visit that the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) made to Speedworld Off Road Park, Rob MacCachren led the Pro2 Unlimited field flag to flag, leaving the competition in the dust. In this weekend's return to Surprise, Arizona for Rounds 5 and 6 of LOORRS racing, Rob Mac had to fight a lot harder to put ROCKSTAR Energy Drink and Makita Power Tools on the top of the podium. MacCachren qualified first for Round 5, but a two row inversion meant that he wouldn't be leading flag to flag this time around.

Geoffrey Cooley’s driving and the desert temperatures got much hotter in rounds 5 and 6 of the Lucas Oil Off-road Racing series at Speedworld in Surprise, Arizona. Triple digit temperatures and Geoffrey’s continuously increasing speeds where the hot topic all weekend. Geoffrey was 10th fastest after practice on Friday, qualified in 9th later that day and then finished 6th in round five and on the podium in 2nd place after round six. His results keep him in the top three in the season long points championship a position he has maintained all year. Every track on the schedule will seem brand new as the rookie Unlimited Buggy racer learns the fast way around in the bigger cars:

Whether you attended on Saturday or Sunday, you found jam packed grandstands and contagious energy in the air. Thanks to the Lucas Oil Series and organization for a great race weekend! LOORRS Round 3 Due to a broken axle, Jerry qualified the #23 in the 10th position for Saturday's round of racing. Coming off of a great weekend at Firebird, he was determined to push through the field and place the #23 in a good finishing position on Saturday. Jerry and the E3 Spark Plugs Pro 4 ran a good race and with a bit of hard work, he managed to finish 6th. It was a good finish and great race in front of amazing fans! Thanks for weathering the hot sun and temps in the 100's!

April 25th, 2012 – Lake Elsinore, CA
After Rounds 3 & 4, Hart and Huntington Off Road's snapshot assessment of the Lucas Oil Off Road Race weekend at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park is that the team has an optimistic view of the 2012 season.
"We are only going to get faster and more consistent from here on out," claims Ryan Busnardo, Team Leader for Premiere Motorsports Group. "We have been working really hard, and it is finally feeling like we have all the gears of the PMG Machine turning and working together in the right direction." Josh Merrell proved that point by earning back-to-back 3rd place podiums in the #22 MAVTV PRO-4.
