August 29, 2012 – Corona, California
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series ventured up to Reno, Nevada for Rounds 11 & 12 and the inaugural opening of the Wild West Motorsports Park. Hart and Huntington Off Road made the trip with a strong proclamation and renewed drive. The mission to succeed for Premiere Motorsports Group was aimed at taking home a win and Ryan Beat achieved that goal securing a Round 12 victory in the #51 Lunarpages.com / eBay Motors ProLite.
This win is a remarkable testament to Premiere Motorsports Group's unwavering commitment to the sport of short course off road racing. For Ryan Beat, and supporting partners like Lunarpages.com, eBay Motors, General Tire, and Black Rhino, it justifies all the investment that is poured into to getting these trucks on the track. "We are just thrilled!" Ryan commented after the race. "The PMG Team and me and my people have been working so hard all year. Because of that, we have been able to stay somewhat consistent with this program. We needed this weekend to go really well if I was going to have any chance at the championship. A Round 12 win, and finishing 4th on Saturday should put us up to 2nd in points."
Ryan Beat found fortune in Reno, but it was not handed over by any means. The weekend started with the revelation that this track is fast, fearless and wide open, leaving Beat searching for speed and hook up with his "garage built" truck. With some technical adjustments from Fox Shox, grooving for traction on the General Tires and a get up and go tune by Bruce Nogrady, Ryan was able to dial in a competitive setup.
Beat charged hard and fought off the heavy contenders on a very fast track. Every truck on was driving literally on the edge, racing 3 and 4 wide through the corners and off the massive down-hill jumps. Reno's fans came out in the thousands and delighted in the highly destructive door-to-door competition.
Lucas Oil Off Road Reno Round's 11 & 12 Highlight
Ryan Beat is pleased with his performance and looks forward to finishing off the 2012 season strong. "Lucas Oil Off Road did a terrific job building this new track for the racers and the community of Reno. Short Course Off Road Racing is gaining a lot of attention and if we could all do a couple more things right with the purpose of consistency, everything would take off to a whole new level. Right now, I am very grateful to be here and I cannot wait to carry this momentum to Las Vegas for Rounds 13 & 14 on September 21st & 22nd."
