(May 19th, 2013 – Corona, California) The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series stormed into Lake Elsinore, California with strong gust of hot air and cloudy dark skies for the Rockstar Energy So-Cal Nationals presented by Loanmart. Friday allowed for series contestants to test their fortitude with two practice sessions per class which pretty much set the temperament for Round 5. Lunarpages would lead the off road racing storm with Ryan Beat pushing the #51 ProLite wide open to record the second fastest lap time in Practice 1 and quickest of all in Practice 2.
Saturday's qualifying session would reveal similar results with Ryan earning the top lap time of his group and only a small fraction behind the pole sitter Sheldon Creed, who had set the quick qualifying lap time on remarkably better track conditions during Session 1.
Ryan's usual performance was welcomed with great fan fare and appreciation for what is considered a close to home race for the Hart and Huntington Off Road Team. Beat and the Lunarpages ProLite have garnered a lot of media attention leading up to the event, as Ryan participated in a KTLA Morning News Segment and was also a featured driver in the Official Lucas Oil Off Road Pre-Party presented by Loanmart at Tilted Kilt of Temecula. In addition to Lunarpages, General Tire Loanmart and Rockstar Energy, Ryan Beat welcomes Sycuan Casino as a Presenting Sponsor for this weekends event.

The short course track at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park featuring big air jumps, mega table top launchers and super tight corners, was thoroughly soaked and flooded with water in preparation for the Round 5 ProLite event. With zero positions inverted and a straight up quick draw green flag start to one of the largest ProLite fields ever, twenty-eight competitors scrambled for position all on one track. The order would quickly shuffle the lineup of the small compact trucks before the first corner. After starting on the first row and by the time the front pack peeled out of Turn 1, Ryan had lost several positions due to the super slick and muddy track surface.
From the beginning and as usual, Ryan drove clean, fierce, and steady to make up those lost positions. For one reason or another, a bobble up front left the #51 Lunarpages ProLite in a precarious position and once again was lost back in the pack of squirrel city. After many back and forth battles with competitors that were not on the same pace, and one too many yellow flags later, Ryan raced back up to third position but it was very short lived after another racer thought that they deserved that spot. The race would conclude with yet another yellow flag that would bunch up the field for a free-for-all race to the finish. Beat was able to make it back up into the top 5 and on the last lap, passed the ProLite Veteran of Chris Brandt for a hard earned 4th place finish.

Ryan was almost content with the final circumstances of Round 5. Happy to have finished a race without any rash black flag penalties, but understandably frustrated with the lower level pool of new to ProLite racers, Beat and the Hart and Huntington Off Road Team are now prepared to continue to push and fight the storm of short course racing at Lake Elsinore.
Saturday's main event for Round 5, presented some of the best off road racers in the world display a wild Pro-2 race with relatively few interruptions. The continuos green flag racing would see the fastest of the division spin off and dust everyone else behind. Robert Naughton, Premiere Motorsports Group Teammate and Driver of the #54 Lunarpages PRO-2, was a big part of some exciting back and forth racing, but he was stuck mid pack due to the fierce competition within the division.

Carefully planning each opportunity to gain an advantage over any racer in front, Naughton was able to capitalize on mistakes from others while minimizing his own. In the 15 lap event, Robert who started in 10th position, was able to improve and finished with a commendable 6th place finish.

Team sponsor and Lucas Oil Off Road Series supporter, Lunarpages Internet Solutions is really excited about short course off road motorsports.
