Scottsdale,Arizona (April 27, 2015) - Building off of the experience from the Lucas Oil Off Road Series Rounds 1 & 2 in Lake Elsinore, Eric Fitch put in a strong and very solid performance in Rounds 3 and 4 at his home track, Wild Horse Pass in Arizona. His continuing growth shows in his movement up the Pro-2 rankings. From his improving times in Thursday’s practice sessions to his finishes in the two races, as Eric gets more time in the seat, he will be a threat among the Pro-2 class.

With Thursday being only his 8th time in the truck, Eric is showing huge improvement with having two top ten times. He was ready to lay down fast laps in Friday’s practice and qualifying, however, when they were rained out, Eric had to start Friday’s race in 10th position (based on points). Even though Eric and Patrick Clark got tangled up in lap 4, Eric was still able to drive through the field and get a top 10 finish.

“The truck was so strong! The more time I get in the truck the more comfortable I feel. Getting a top 10 finish feels great! I know that each race weekend I will grow stronger and eventually I will be able to contend for a top 5 finish. It is just a matter of time. Tomorrow’s race should be even better with better track conditions too,” said Eric commented after Friday’s race…and he was right.

After qualifying 11th on Saturday, Eric knew that he had some driving to do to finish where he wanted to, but he was up for the challenge. And sure enough, Eric showed his driving talent by once again driving through the field and finishing 7th.

In regards to Saturday’s race, Eric stated, “I wanted to sit back and wait for some of the carnage to clear out in the first few laps, and then I made my move. I wanted to give my hometown crowd something to cheer about and I think I did just that. It would have been awesome to get my first top 5 finish, but it is great to continue to turn in another solid performance. I can’t wait for Lake Elsinore!”

In a few weeks Eric will be testing his truck to get it even more dialed in for the LOORRS Rounds 5 & 6 in Lake Elsinore. As a true up-and-coming driver, Eric is taking this extra practice time seriously. He will be pushing himself to turn in two more solid finishes and continue his growth as a Pro-2 driver.
