It was cold and windy night racing at Lake Elsinore April 25 and 26, 2014 when the trucks lined up to start Rounds 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing.
On Friday, qualifying went well with both trucks qualifying in 2nd place, setting high expectations for Renezeder and his team for the evening race. The Pro 2's were on first that night and right away there was a ton of action, with Travis Pastrana crashing right at the beginning of the race. Luckily Travis was not seriously hurt and the Pro 2's began again after a full re-start. Renezeder ran 2nd almost the entire race, but ended up in 3rd after #99 managed to get by him.
In the Pro 4 race, Renezeder was battling out near the front when the action again was stopped by a huge, fiery crash by Eric Barron, and luck was with Eric as well, with no serious injury to him. After a very long red flag, the battles continued, but at around the 10th lap Renezeder lost front wheel drive and had to finish the race in 2 wheel drive, still managing to finish 7th.
Saturday, Renezeder again placed 3rd in Pro 2. A 5th place starting position meant he had some hard work ahead of him. It was a great race, with Renezeder giving Menzies and Deegan a good battle to the finish.
In Pro 4, Renezeder ran a great race battling it out with Kyle Leduc in first, at the last turn as he looked like he might have a chance at a pass, the steering broke and Renezeder did a slow rollover ending his chance at the Podium. He got out and let his fans know he was unhurt.
" It's a bummer to finish out the weekend with problems with the Pro 4," commented Renezeder, "but I'm proud of my entire team and I know they will get everything ironed out before the next event in a few weeks in Sparks, Nevada."
Look for Renezeder and the team May 30-31, 2014 at Rounds 5 & 6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada.
