The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is headed North to the Reno / Sparks Nevada area, for a highly anticipated inaugural event weekend held on August 25th-26th. Rounds 11 and 12; The Toyota Silver State Showdown Presented By Fox Shox will take place at the Wild West Motorsports Park.

The brand new world class facility, located off of Exit 23 - Interstate 80 just East of Reno, features high speed straightaways, massive elevation changes, mega air ski jumps and an assortment of obstacles all contained on a mile long short course off road track built into the side of a massive mountain. The master mind and track designer, Lucas Oil Off Road Series Director - Tony Vanillo stated, "It is perfect for giving every spectator the best seat in the house."

In a bad economy, who in their right mind would be building new off-road racing tracks? Lucas Oil, that's who. As if the Lake Elsinore track was not enough, Lucas Oil Off-Road has built their crowning achievement with their new track 10 minutes outside of Reno, NV at the Wild West Motorsports Park. With over 100ft of elevation, the 1.2 mile track features four turns, and five primary jumps, (two of which make the old ski-jump at Chula Vista look like a cake walk), a new style rhythm section and massive custom built stands combined to make the new track in Reno the most spectacular short course track built to date. This track was specifically designed to showcase the incredible vehicle dynamics of Pro-4, Pro-2, and Pro-Lite for a massive crowd.

Tony Vanillo and his crew have been working day and night, 7-days a week to get it done on time. They have carved out the side of a mountain, screened 60 cubic tons of dirt to remove rock, and graded out a massive pit and parking area. So come out next weekend and see short course off-road at it's best.

Reno, get ready to party with the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at the Official Pre-Party on Thursday, August 23rd which will be held at Rum Bullions and the the Silver Baron Lounge inside the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. The series A-List, Super Star Drivers, Action Sport Athletes, and Industry Icons have committed and will be kicking off the weekend in style.
