Sparks’ Wild West Motorsports Park Hosts Rounds 5 & 6 of World’s Premier Short-Course Championship
It’s been some time since the young drivers of the Mod Kart division last took to the track in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. After just two rounds, there’s been a variety of contenders, with Brody Eggleston and Mason Prater capturing the wins at Glen Helen and Wild Horse Pass, respectively.
When you have a #1 on the side of your vehicle, it serves as a proverbial bullseye to the rest of your competitors. While the Turbo UTV field has thrown everything they have at Corry Weller through the first rounds of the 2019 season, the most prolific female driver in the history of the sport has withstood the pressure.
Thanks to a strict rules package that lends itself to some of the tightest racing found in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, it’s not a shock to see that the depth of talent in the Pro Lite division stands alone in the sport of short-course off-road. A year ago, Ryan Beat took the class by storm with a breakout season that carried him to his first championship.
A total of five rounds of Pro 2 racing remain in the 2019 season, with the summer showcase from Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada, looming at the end of July.
Lucas Oil Speedway Currently Undergoing Rebuild Following Recent Severe Weather
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) went to Ensenada, Mexico for Rounds 3 and 4. The two-day race was hosted at the Estero Beach and Resort and was loaded with action for racer Brandon Arthur. This was Arthur’s first time racing both the no. 6 MAVTV Pro 2 and the no. 906 Textron WildCat XX UTV on the Ensenada course and tension was high.
Corona, CA (June 5, 2019) - The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series officially makes its debut in iRacing as part of the 2019 Season 3 build, which launched earlier this week. LOORRS’ premier Pro 4 and Pro 2 trucks, as well as two of the series’ premier tracks, are available at launch for iRacers to challenge themselves with the best in short course off road racing.

With the recent storm damage suffered at Lucas Oil Speedway, we were forced to make changes in the race schedule in order to allow the speedway the time it needs to clean up and rebuild the facility.
