K&N FILTERS NAMED “OFFICIAL FILTER” OF LUCAS OIL OFF ROAD RACING SERIES - PURSE ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM FOR DRIVERS

Corona, CA (February 13, 2009)- Bob Patison, Executive Vice-President of Lucas Oil, announced today that an agreement has been reached with K&N Engineering Inc. to become the “Official Filter” of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. K&N will not only be a sponsor of the Series but, K&N will also provide a unique “purse enhancement” contingency program for the competitors. The specific details of the program will be announced prior to the first event on April 4-5 at Primm, NV.

K&N, manufacturer of the World’s Best Filters, has been a long time supporter of the Off Road community, both at the professional racing level and recreational enthusiast.
“K&N started in the Off Road industry, that’s where we sank our roots. Off Road continues to hold a special place at K&N and, we have spent considerable Research and Development resources creating the best line of filters for this environment. We are excited about joining the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and providing direct support to the competitors through our contingency program. The specific details of this plan will be announced very soon, our respective legal departments just need to sign off on the program. K&N and Lucas Oil have successfully worked together on various ventures over the years and this is an extension of that partnership.”

SPEED will provide primary national television coverage of the entire professional touring classes within the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, other select classes will be covered by Versus, Outdoor Channel and MavTV.
