Aside from becoming an official sponsor of the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, Goodyear will sponsor 8 teams competing in the series. A driver search is currently under way to find 8 teams that will uphold the reputation that Goodyear has built over their many years of involvement in the motorsports industry.

“Sure we want to win, but we also need drivers and teams who have an image to match, drivers that project a strong image both on and off the track,” said Goodyear Off Road Motorsports Manager Jack Cummings.

Cummings has been working in the Off-Road industry since 1986 and is very excited about this new endeavor with Lucas Oil.

“We were so impressed with the entire Lucas Oil staff during the2008 World Series of Off Road Racing Series, that we knew immediately that the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series was something we wanted to be a part of. Plus this will give Goodyear a chance to defend our 2008 Tire Manufactures title,” continued Cummings.
