As
previously announced in a press release dated February 13th 2009,
K&N Filters is coming to the aid of race teams in these tough
economic times. Beginning at the Lucas Oil Off Road Series' inaugural
event, K&N Filters will be increasing the purse payout in the
Unlimited 4 and Unlimited 2 Truck divisions. The prize money will be
increased for both race dates, April 4th and 5th at the Primm Valley
Motorsports Complex. First place finishers in both divisions will
receive $15,000, second place finishers will be paid $10,000 and third
place finishers will bring home $5,000.
"K&N Filters has been a serious supporter of the Lucas Oil Off Road
Racing Series from the beginning. We know that the series has great
potential and we are excited to be a part of it. With the economy in
the shape that it's in we realize that it is getting tougher for race
teams to get to the track week in and week out, so K&N Filters
wants to do something special to reward teams for all their hard work
and dedication," said K&N Filters Vice President Steve Williams.
