The All-Stars of Short Course Racing Collide for the Ultimate Pay Day

December 01, 2010

The  all-stars of short course racing collide for the ultimate pay day. Professional  pride, bragging rights and the richest payday in off road, the Rockstar Energy  Challenge Cup is the all-or-nothing season finale showdown.

The lineup  features a sure to be thrilling PRO-2 vs. PRO-4 battle and you will not want to  miss the one of a kind race of Pro Lite Vs. Pro Buggy. This totally unique  event delivers on your feet excitement and non-stop thrills. No one has ever  dared to combine class racing like Lucas Oil Off Road has.

Pro  Lite Vs. Pro Buggy will display off road trucks and off road buggies on the  same track racing for the same prize. This collision of short course chaos  guarantees flag to flag excitement. The underrated ranks of Pro Buggy will once  again set out to prove they are faster then the trucks. Wheelmen like Cameron  Steele, Jerry Whelchel, Doug Fortin and Larry Job will all be a factor giving  the trucks a run for their money. The experience of Marty Hart, the speed of Chris  Brandt and Pro Lite Champion Brian Deegan will be standing in the way fighting  hard to gain the title back for the trucks. Last years, 2009 Challenge Cup victor,  Greg George won the race in a dominating fashion for the buggies, starting from  the very back and passing every single car & truck on the track for the win  and earning $20,000 for his efforts. This year the Pro Lite purse totals  $35,000.

$53,500  is up for grabs in the PRO-2 Vs. PRO-4 Race. Last year Carl Renezeder took the  win in his Lucas Oil PRO-4 Machine. With $30,000 alone going to the winner Carl  is likely to have his hands full as all of the best drivers are looking to take  home the big payday. Rob MacCachren will be leading the field of PRO-2s in his  Rockstar Energy machine. Rodrigo Ampudia, Robby Woods, and Bryce Menzies will  also be factors. Look out for Brian Deegan as he made an impressive debut into  PRO-2 at the recent Las Vegas rounds 13 & 14. The fiercest challenger will  likely be Rick Huseman in a lightning fast PRO-4 Toyota, however don’t ever  count out Johnny Greaves, Kyle Leduc and Jeremy McGrath who all have the speed  and capabilities to win.

The  Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup could be compared to the “Super Bowl” of off road  racing. Tony Vanillo, Gary Hubert and the rest of the Lucas Oil Off Road Team  have created an incredible track that will offer the most aggressive  “Supercross” style obstacles yet. Multiple line choices, table top rhythm  sections, downhill ski jumps, uphill steps ups, Firebird International Raceway  has it all and is about to get down and dirty. Which machines will reach the  finish line first? 2wd or 4wd? Truck or Buggy? One thing is left for certain; The  Rockstar Energy Challenge Cup will solidify who are the worlds fastest off road  drivers.
